Typically, helping wildlife in need is its own reward, but occasionally nature can surprise you. When two young men cut this tangled snake permitted in the video underneath, the creature presented its gratitude by vomiting up a stinking, half-digested frog. Not precisely a reward most people would relish, but there’s more to this story than it would seem.
Video holds very strong language. In fact, you might want to mute it.
Of course, the snake is not really “thanking” its rescuers, it more than probable thinks that the humans are just additional threat. Snakes will often regurgitate food if they are exposed to stress. This is complete to get rid of additional bulk and direct energy from digestion to escaping from predators. Snakes will also vomit if their prey is too large for them, but this will usually occur before the snake consumes the entire animal.
Also, despite what the multi-coloured commentary in this video tells you, the snake’s jaw is probable fine. With the help of what is named a quadrate bone, snakes can open their jaws considerable wider than mammals can. The two lower jaws are also clever of moving self-sufficiently of each other, much like mandibles.
